Realme U1 Review & Full Specification

Realme U1 Review

Hi, there this is Rohit and in this article, we’ll be doing the full of Realme U1 Review this is another smartphone by Realme.

And I have been testing the smartphone and I’ve used it for almost 7 days so I’ll divide it between the pros and cons of what I like about this device and one of the things that I did not like about this device.

Realme U1 Review

And guys this comes with the new MediaTek Helio P70 chipset and comes in two variants 3 or 4 gigabytes of Ram, and other specs are on the screen for your reference now.

Let me quickly jump between the pros and the cons so that you can make an informed decision and so this handset comes in two variants I feel the 3 gigabyte RAM very enterprising is very aggressively done.

Especially for the front-facing camera because I feel the highlight of this one is that front-facing camera but I feel the pricing of that for the gigabyte is not that justified we’ll come back to that later but let’s start with the pros and cons let’s start with the pros.

Realme U1 Review & Full Specification

And Realme U1 Review the first thing that I liked with this device is that 6.3-inch screen and in fact if you look at the phone it is very similar to the Redmi or what do you say there sorry the Realme to pro it looks almost identical to that even the screen size etc this is the real meeting pro and this is the new one so it comes with the same 6.3-inch screen it’s a Full HD screen IPS great screen.

The quality of the screen was really good and I like the fact that it doesn’t have that big notch something it just has that small not so it doesn’t bother me personally and in fact, the screen quality is good even when you are playing YouTube videos and stuff, for example, Realme U1 Review I’ll just play this video and also to give you an idea how’s the speaker do it’s just a single speaker over here it’s loud give you an idea the suite quality is very nice is that your if you maximize as you can see the not that’s not restful I just mind so the screen quality is good and even when you watch youtube videos in that full screen because of that Realme U1 Review.

Very small nutshell you get a very immersive experience and in fact, though it’s just having that single speaker it’s loud even when I was taking calls on speakerphone they were loud and never had to in many phones you have that problem even at Maxwell when you’re taking calls and speakerphone you feel that’s not loud that’s not the case on this one and also moving to the cellular call quality I tested it with Airtel and Jio and it was fine the earpiece is also loud and clear that’s nice.

And Realme U1 Review also this handset as its having the new Helio P70 chip said it’s supposed to do you hold so that is that cover and now coming to the general performance of this phone is also very good I did not face any issues when general usage or I noticed any lag on this phone while I was using the phone so he and the P70 chipset is very powerful no issues of lag Enos or something that you would notice by the way guys I tested the four gigabyte RAM variant of this phone.

I don’t have access to the three gigabytes so all my experience is based on the four gigabyte RAM variant and moving to another thing is RAM management at least on this four-gigabyte variant is fine I didn’t have a lot of issues of RAM management or recent apps going out of memory so in that aspect it’s fine but we will talk about the UI later. And now it also has that face unlocking that we have seen in all your Realme phones that’s fine and also it has that fingerprint scanner and as you can see the fingerprint scanner is very responsive so in terms of unlocking the phone you won’t have a problem either with the fingerprint scanner or the face unlocking now I’m going to as I already mentioned the speaker is loud and clear though it’s a single speaker it’s pretty loud it also has the headphone jack Realme U1 Review.

And I would say the quality of audio that I was getting from the headphone jack even with my reference headphones that is them-40 extra that I tested was good it has that what do you say if you go into settings has some voice enhancement features and if you go there you can tweak the sound and by doing that I was able to get good sound quality.

Even with the headphone jack now moving to the battery on this one on people the battery capacity is less it’s just 3,500 milliamp-hour battery and guys officially no fast charging with this phone but you get the 5V 2amp charger and has the battery is not that big a charges fairly quickly not an issue now I’m going to the battery life is pretty decent for the 3,500 milliamp-hour to give you an idea with the typical user Realme U1 Review.

Also, read reviews on OnePlus 8, Realme 6i, Huawei P40 Pro, Realme 6 Pro, Poco X2, Samsung Galaxy A51, Realme X2, Realme X2 Pro, OnePlus 7T vs OnePlus 7T Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max.

I would say you lost it for a full day without any issues and in my usage, I was averaging about one and a half four days of usage per charge on this sadly the ColorUI that this has the color was UI doesn’t give us OT starts but I would say that I certa might be around five hours of SOT on this one so battery life is decent but again not the best because we have seen other phones on this price range coming with an even higher capacity battery like 4000 but for most users, I would say if you charge it every day it would be fine and now the biggest thing about this device.

I would say the camera and specifically the front-facing camera the front-facing camera is a 25-megapixel shooter on this and as I’ve taken the front-facing camera performance is good on this one so if you take a lot of selfies and again it has that an I know that bokeh modes and all those things and that also works so if you are a person who takes a lot of selfies. Realme U1 Review

I think so in this price range this one has the best selfie camera, in fact, I also compared it with the what was that Redmi Note 6 Pro and in many instances the front-facing camera of this one came out the back top so definitely for the front-facing camera I would say this is the one.

Now moving to the rear-facing camera and as you can see when the sample shots the rear-facing camera performance is also good it’s not bad guys don’t get me wrong but again it is not among the best and I would say it’s the Realme own phone that is the Realme to pro has a better rear-facing camera don’t get me wrong it’s not terrible or something but yeah the rear me to prostrate facing camera is better than this one now talking about the video that I shot an indoor around my office to give you an idea how’s the media performance recording the artificial lighting conditions and I’ve set it to 1080p by default will be at 720p but this video recording is at 1080p. Realme U1 Review

And this should give you an idea how where the video recording and the stabilization with the rear-facing camera and guys the audio that you’re hearing are also being recorded violets into the microphone and you can use the top two in the video to focus to a particular area so this is a very quick sample with the rear-facing camera of this Realme U1 recording this video with the front-facing camera of this Realme through one annum 1080p and the audio is also being recorded why it’s an internal microphone. Realme U1 ReviewRealme U1 Review & Full Specification

I just wanted to show you guys how would be the media recording if you use it like this that is vlog stand so with the front-facing camera of this Realme you one so as you can see the video recording was good loud and clear but again as I have told you the rear-facing camera in artificial lighting can struggle up a little bit. Realme U1 Review

Now let’s move to some of the calls with this device the first thing is that yes we have that very small notch or whatever I like it but again it does not have a physical LED notification light so that is something that is missing on this one and also now moving to the pricing I feel the three gigabyte RAM variant that comes with 32gb of internal storage is fine Rs 12,300 but out of that 32gb you’ll roughly get about nineteen gigabytes so you will have to use a microSD card but I feel the pricing of the four-gigabyte ram model is slightly on the excessive side it’s about 14,500 Realme U1 Review.

So that is something you have to note and now this is the new chipset P70 and I don’t do a lot of giving but I did play for example Asphalt 9 played fine without any issues but many of you asked me to play this PUBG I don’t know how to play PUBG but here I did play PUBG and this was I did what do you say HD settings high settings and here as you can see apart from the when I was dropping out from the plane I noticed some frame drops but apart from that as you see in this game and I was playing around I don’t know how to play frankly guys about as it looks good even in the high graphics settings but I noticed that after about 15 minutes of PUBG the handset was getting a little bit warm yeah warm it’s not hot but fair warm but in general usage the handset was not getting one. Realme U1 Review

So again you decide how it’s fucking me because frankly speaking guys I don’t play PUBG so you let me know for a 12 thousand rupees phone you’ve seen the footage of the gaming that I did with this you make your judgment how is it for the game but as for Asphalt 9 and other games that I know how to play ran fine.

Now moving to the biggest criticism that is half and this is with almost every real me a phone that I have is the ColorOS don’t get me wrong in terms of functionality and fluidness I don’t have any problems. Realme U1 Review

I don’t notice any lag or whatever but again I feel this UI is a little bit restrictive for example it doesn’t even give you proper battery stats and also in notifications it could have been better it’s now better with this new version for example as you can see the earlier versions you have to swipe our you have to do this twice but on this one, you can remove notifications so it is improved but still I feel in terms of UI it can be improved.

So that’s a general thing that I have the problem that the all Realme you are devices that are running color overs it’s not a deal-breaker guy but I have used a lot of phones with other what is a custom UI and I feel the custom UI implementation is slightly better and again as it has this heavy UI the Realme main team has mentioned that this device will also get Android Pie update but they haven’t given a specific date they have just mentioned the first quarter of 2019. Realme U1 Review & Full Specification

So even for updates, you guys will have to wait out on this one so to sum it up I would say this is a smartphone for people from whom selfies are the highest criteria and if you are that kind of a person I would say specifically the twelve thousand rupees variant that comes with three gigabytes of RAM is an excellent Buy. Realme U1 Review

I will say are – that twice fine it has the best selfie camera and also as it has the new here you P70 chipset it’s also a pretty for the chipset but when we moved to the four gigabyte RAM variant I feel the pricing is slightly on the higher side in fact Realme means own what do you say this is the Realme to pro the four gigabytes waiting that comes with the snapdragon 616 about 14,000.

And now we have new competitors also like the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 that is available for around that price point which might have a slightly better processor so I would say you can go with this one the three here by trauma variant if you are a selfie-focused person but again I would say if even the rear-facing camera is slightly important then maybe its brother that is the Realme to probe might be a better bet anyways guys that that’s it for now for this review of this Realme U1 Review you one if you still have any other specific questions to let me know in the comment section.
